Baobab Reisen GmbH is a Swiss Company formed in 2019 offering Tanzanian Safaris, Beach & Dive holidays & an official member of The Swiss Travel Association.

For Its founder Jason Savidge, it is a lifelong dream to be able to bring guests to the country he grew up in.

The Baobab is known as The Tree of Life, providing a life-giving canopy in the wilds of Africa (& Australia). The huge trees define the landscape in Ruaha and on Mafia & Chole Islands. So much so, that from all our partner Lodges you can see the mighty trees and on Chole Mjini the Treehouses are built amongst the Baobabs.
Dream
Having owned and managed the Company Snowmotions GmbH specialising in Swiss Ski & Snowboard Holidays for the past twenty years it seems like an unusual new project to offer holidays in Tanzania. But he sees it as a logical progression, offering the same high standards of guest satisfaction and enjoyment in an amazing natural setting.
Heritage
His father was the first Park Warden of Ruaha National Park, responsible for opening the park up to tourism and laying the initial infrastructure of roads, airstrips & river crossings as well as establishing the first anti-poaching patrols. Through their family connections the Savidges have over fifty years of East African knowledge and although Baobab Reisen is a relatively new company, the roots run deep.

From the minute you land in Dar es Salaam until you fly home you will be looked after by a team of friendly, reliable, experienced professionals.
Jason continues to live in the Swiss mountains with his family while visiting Tanzania as often as possible, both with guests, and privately.
As Baobab Reisen is a web based company there is no “walk-in town office” however Jason will be happy to welcome you to his Alpine Chalet or to meet in Chur or travel to you to tailor make your Tanzanian holiday.
